Senior Constable, Eloise Jupp (Ellie), was riding her motorbike home from a night shift at Maroochydore Police Station. When a four-wheel drive pulled out in front of her, resulting in a horrific crash. The doctors discovered Ellie had suffered major brain trauma and urgently needed to be flown to Brisbane.
The Sunshine Coast RACQ LifeFlight Rescue crew came to the rescue, flying Ellie from the Sunshine Coast University Hospital to the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital.
Through her work with Queensland Police Service, Ellie was involved with LifeFlight previously. She just never thought she’d one day be in the back of a chopper herself.
“I never thought it would be me. I always thought it was a really important thing and knew that so many people needed the service, but now the significance is incredible.”
