Well, put down your spreadsheets, step away from the laundry, and grab your aviators because LifeFlight Lotteries is officially hiring a temporary Rescue Ready Crew Experience Tester for the adventure of a lifetime!
No medical degree? No pilot’s license? No worries! We don't need you to rescue anyone (we’ve got the real-life professionals for that), but we do need one lucky winner to step into the boots of a LifeFlight crew member for 5 unforgettable days in sunny Queensland.
The "Job" Description: What You’ll Be Doing
Prepare for bragging rights for the rest of your life. Between Wednesday 25 November – Sunday 29 November 2026, your itinerary looks a little like this:
Day 1: Take to the Skies — Wednesday, 25 November
- LifeFlight Training Academy Tour: Get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at where the magic happens.
- Helicopter Simulator Experience: Take the controls in a state-of-the-art flight simulator and test your skills as a virtual rescue pilot.
- HUET Training (Helicopter Underwater Safety and Escape Training): Fancy an extra adrenaline rush? You’ll have the option to watch or jump right into the water to take part in our underwater escape simulation. (Note: Individuals must be fit and able to partake, but viewing from the dry side is 100% cool too!)
- Rest & Recovery: Collapse into luxury with one (1) nights’ accommodation at the stunning Avani Queens Wharf Residence, Brisbane.
Days 2–5: Base Visits & Beach Vibes — Thursday, 26 November to Sunday, 29 November
- Meet the Real-Life Heroes: Head up to the Sunshine Coast operational base to meet the crew, see the choppers up close, and witness a real-life rescue-ready crew in action.
- Sunshine Coast Unwind: After an exhilarating couple of days, kick back and relax with three (3) nights’ accommodation at the beautiful Avani Mooloolaba.
